Antalya Airport Transfer with Oversized Luggage 2026 — Bikes, Prams, Golf
Every summer, thousands of cyclists, golfers, surfers, and families with baby equipment arrive at Antalya Airport. Standard sedan taxis often cannot accommodate oversized items, creating last-minute stress at arrivals. Pre-booked private transfers solve this — as long as you declare the items at booking.

How to declare oversized items
At booking, use the "notes" field to describe your items: number of bicycle boxes and approximate dimensions, number of golf bags (soft or hard case), surfboard bag length, or any medical equipment.
We confirm vehicle suitability before your travel date. If your items require a larger vehicle than you booked, we will contact you to upgrade — the price difference is charged at booking rate.
Renting sports equipment in Antalya
If transporting equipment is complicated, consider renting in Antalya. Most Belek golf resorts have club rental (Callaway, TaylorMade) at €30–60/day. Bicycle rental is available in Kemer and Alanya. Surfboard rental in Alanya and Oludeniz is inexpensive.
Child seats alongside oversized luggage
Free child seats on request — infant (0–13 kg), toddler (9–18 kg), booster (15–36 kg). Specify the child's age and weight at booking.
For families travelling with both a pushchair and a child seat in the vehicle, a minivan is strongly recommended. The minivan accommodates a folded travel pram in the boot plus a child seat fitted in the rear cabin without compromising passenger space.
Do not assume a child seat and a large golf bag will both fit in a sedan — the boot will almost certainly not accommodate both. Book a minivan for this combination.
Comparison: declaring vs not declaring oversized items
| Scenario | What happens |
|---|---|
| Oversized item declared at booking | Driver dispatches correct vehicle; no delays at pickup |
| Oversized item not declared, sedan sent | Item may not fit; driver calls support; new vehicle dispatched (adds 30–60 min wait) |
| Oversized item at taxi rank (no pre-booking) | Driver may refuse or cannot accommodate; queue for another taxi |
Always declare: Number and type of oversized items in the booking notes field. The vehicle confirmation comes within 30 minutes during business hours.
Oversized luggage at Antalya Airport Terminal 2
Oversized baggage belt: Bicycles, golf bags, surfboards, large pushchairs, and any item that cannot go through the standard baggage chute are delivered to the oversized baggage belt at the far end of the Terminal 2 baggage reclaim hall. The belt has yellow/black hazard markings and is signed "Büyük Boy Bagaj" (Oversized Baggage) in Turkish.
Critical mistake: Many passengers wait at the standard carousel for their golf bag or bicycle box. These items do not come on standard carousels — they are always on the oversized belt. Walk to the end of the hall first to check the oversized belt before joining the standard carousel queue.
Collection trolleys: Free luggage trolleys are available in the hall. Essential for bike boxes and multiple golf bags — collect a trolley before approaching the oversized belt, not after.
Payment: pay the driver on arrival. Free child seats for families. Fixed price includes all luggage transport without surcharge for oversized items.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I take a bicycle on an Antalya Airport transfer?
Yes, in a minivan. Standard bicycle box (road or MTB, up to 135 cm) fits with rear seats folded. Declare the bike at booking so a minivan is dispatched. A minibus is needed for 2+ bicycles.
Do golf bags fit in a sedan transfer?
Two golf travel bags (soft or hard case, up to 135 cm) fit in a sedan boot alongside 2 standard suitcases. For 3+ bags, book a minivan.
Is there a surcharge for oversized luggage?
No surcharge for items that fit within the booked vehicle. If you need a larger vehicle, the vehicle price difference applies.
Can I bring a baby pushchair on the transfer?
Yes. A folded pushchair fits in any vehicle boot. Large travel prams (when unfolded, 80+ cm) should be noted at booking to confirm boot space alongside suitcases.
Can I bring a surfboard to Alanya on a private transfer?
Yes, in a minivan. A surfboard bag up to 7'6" fits with the rear bench partly folded. Longer boards (9'+) require a minibus.
Can I bring a folded wheelchair in a private transfer from Antalya Airport?
Yes. A folded manual wheelchair fits comfortably in a minivan boot. Power wheelchairs are larger and may require a minibus — note wheelchair type at booking.
How do I declare oversized items at booking?
Use the notes field at booking. Describe each item: "2 golf travel bags, hard case, 135 cm"; "1 bicycle in cardboard box, road bike"; "1 surfboard bag, 7 feet". We confirm vehicle suitability before travel.
Can I bring ski equipment from Antalya Airport to Saklıkent?
Yes. Ski bags and boot bags fit in a minivan. The Saklıkent ski resort is 50 km north of Antalya — contact us for pricing for this non-standard route.
What is the largest item a minibus can accommodate?
A Mercedes Sprinter minibus underfloor cargo bay is approximately 3.5m long. It accommodates 2 standard bicycles, 8 golf bags, or a combination of oversized sporting equipment simultaneously.
Can the driver help load oversized items into the vehicle?
Yes. The driver assists with loading and securing all items. For very heavy items (e.g. loaded bike boxes over 25 kg), a trolley from the terminal can be used to the car — the driver helps.
