Antalya Airport to Lara Beach is 18 km east along the D400 dual-carriageway coastal road — a straight, fast route with no mountain sections or winding bends.

Journey time: 28 minutes typical. Even in peak season rarely exceeds 35 minutes. Night arrivals can complete the route in 15–18 minutes.

The D400 east from the airport is a dual carriageway all the way to Lara Beach — two lanes in each direction with a 90 km/h limit. The road passes the Antalya Free Trade Zone and port area before turning coastal at the Lara junction. There are no tolls, no tunnels, and no significant bottlenecks except during the Saturday morning check-out rush (09:00–11:00) when Lara-bound traffic from hotels joining the road can add 8–12 minutes.

What passengers see on the journey: leaving the airport, the D400 runs east alongside the Free Trade Zone — port cranes and container stacks are visible on the left. After roughly 8 km, at the Lara junction, the road curves toward the coast and the Mediterranean comes into view for the first time. The coastal strip immediately before Lara Bridge is where most of the central Lara hotels are located. Kundu, the luxury hotel enclave, sits 5 km further east beyond the bridge — so a transfer to Kundu travels a few minutes past the first cluster of hotels before reaching the guarded resort perimeter.

Worst-case: Allow 35 minutes in July and August during the morning check-out window. At all other times, 25 minutes is reliable.

All prices are fixed — no meter, no negotiation. Price applies per vehicle, not per person.

Payment: made securely online by card (Visa, Mastercard) at booking and charged in EUR. No payment to the driver is required.

Most charter and international flights arrive at Terminal 2. Domestic Turkish Airlines and Pegasus flights use Terminal 1. Your boarding pass shows "ANTALYA T2" or "ANTALYA T1" — check before landing.

Terminal 2 — step by step:

1. Land and follow signs to "Baggage Claim / Arrivals" on the ground floor.

2. Collect your luggage from the carousel. The arrivals hall has free Wi-Fi — connect immediately and confirm your driver has received your flight details via WhatsApp.

3. Pass through customs. In the arrivals corridor, turn left after the automatic sliding doors.

4. Private transfer drivers wait in the first zone on the left, before the taxi rank. Each holds a printed A4 sign with the passenger surname in large text — visible from 20 metres.

5. Identify your name on a sign. If you cannot locate your driver within 5 minutes, send a WhatsApp message to the number in your booking confirmation — response is typically prompt.

6. The driver loads luggage and escorts you to the vehicle in the parking area. Journey begins within 5 minutes of meeting.

Terminal 1 (domestic arrivals): Exit the arrivals hall on the ground floor. Turn right immediately — the private transfer zone is the first bay before the official taxi rank.

Free waiting: Your driver tracks the actual landing time via the flight number. 60 minutes of free waiting is included from the moment of touchdown — delays do not affect your booking.

Lara Beach stretches for 8 km along the coastline east of Antalya city. The beach is sandy — unlike the pebble beaches of Konyaaltı — and lined with large all-inclusive hotels.

Kundu is the inner luxury zone within Lara, approximately 5 km further east from central Lara Beach. Kundu is home to Turkey's most prestigious all-inclusive hotels: Rixos Premium Lara, Mardan Palace, Ela Excellence Resort, Titanic Deluxe, and Susesi Luxury Resort.

Lara Beach is particularly popular with Russian and Eastern European tourists, German families, and British package holidaymakers. The area has direct beach access from most hotels, with wide sandy stretches and calm sea conditions suitable for families.

The area has less authentic Turkish character than Konyaaltı or Antalya city centre, but compensates with beach quality, hotel density, and proximity to the airport.

Hotel entrance logistics in Kundu: The luxury hotels in Kundu have guarded resort entrances. The driver must check in with gate security, which typically adds 3–5 minutes to arrival. This is completely normal — the driver knows the procedure. Rixos Premium Lara has a dedicated gate on the coastal road. Mardan Palace operates a VIP arrival lane — if you are a VIP guest, mention it to your driver so they approach the correct entrance.

Kundu vs central Lara — a practical distinction: Kundu sits inside a fully enclosed hotel enclave with a guarded perimeter fence. Every vehicle — including private transfers and taxis — must stop at the gate checkpoint and the driver must present documentation before entry is granted. For most arrivals this takes 2–3 minutes; during late-night arrivals (after 23:00) when security procedures are more thorough, allow 4–5 minutes at the gate. This checkpoint procedure is the main reason taxis from Antalya city centre sometimes add an unmetered flat surcharge for Kundu-bound passengers: the gate-check delay is unpaid waiting time for a metered driver. With a pre-booked private transfer the Kundu perimeter is already factored into the fixed fare — the price you see at booking is the price you pay, gate delay included.

All Lara and Kundu hotels are covered — enter your hotel name at booking. If your hotel is in Kundu, select "Kundu" from the drop-down for the accurate price.

Licensed yellow metered taxis at the official rank are generally safe. The overcharging risk comes from unlicensed touts who approach arrivals passengers before the official rank. For Lara Beach — the shortest resort transfer — the price difference between a taxi and private transfer is the smallest of any route, making private transfer the obvious choice for families with luggage.

For solo travellers comfortable with Turkish taxi etiquette, the metered taxi from the official rank is a workable option. Confirm the meter is running before departure.

Pickups between 22:00 and 06:00 carry a +30% night surcharge. Sedan daytime price €55 × 1.30 = €72 at night. Minivan night rate: €91.

The surcharge is shown transparently at the time of booking — there are no hidden additions at the vehicle.

Night transfers to Lara Beach are particularly straightforward: the D400 east is quieter after 22:00, and the 25-minute journey often completes in 15–18 minutes. The driver pool is slightly smaller between 00:00 and 05:00, so book in advance if you have a very late landing.

Flight tracking operates the same at night — the driver monitors your actual landing time. If your flight is 3 hours late, the driver adjusts. Your 60-minute free waiting remains intact.

July and August (peak): Lara Beach hotels run at full capacity. The Sunday-to-Saturday package holiday turnaround pattern — most charter flights from the UK, Germany, and Russia operate on a Saturday rotation — creates two predictable congestion windows on the D400 coastal road every week. Saturday 09:00–11:30 sees outbound coach convoys from Lara and Kundu heading west to the airport, which slows eastbound traffic as the convoys merge. Saturday 15:00–18:00 is the corresponding inbound wave as the new arrivals travel east from the airport. Arrivals on any day other than Saturday in July and August will rarely encounter this level of congestion. Book Lara transfers at least 48 hours in advance in peak season.

Easter and spring bank holidays (April–May): European families fill Lara hotels for the school holiday window. Demand for transfers spikes 3–4 days before Easter Sunday. Book 5–7 days in advance.

Russian New Year (27 December – 10 January): Lara Beach and Kundu have a significant Russian-speaking guest base. This window is the second-busiest of the year after the summer peak. New Year's Eve arrivals (31 December) should be booked 2+ weeks in advance. Night transfers on 31 December–1 January carry an additional festive season surcharge — shown at booking.

October and November (shoulder season): Excellent transfer conditions. The D400 is clear, journey times are consistently 20–22 minutes, and prices remain unchanged. Lara hotels thin out but the major 5★ properties (Rixos, Mardan Palace) stay open year-round.

December to March (low season): Lara has very few open hotels in deep winter. Confirm your hotel is operating before booking. Transfer availability is unaffected — we operate year-round.

Lara Beach is one of the best routes for families travelling with young children. At 28 minutes, even restless toddlers find the journey manageable without distress.

Child seats: Infant seat (0–13 kg), toddler seat (9–18 kg), and booster seat (15–36 kg) are available free of charge. Specify your child's age and approximate weight when booking — the driver arrives with the correct seat already fitted.

If you are travelling with a baby and have a very late flight (arriving after midnight), the short Lara route means the transfer is over before the baby becomes unsettled in a moving vehicle. No rest stops are required on this route — it is simply too short.

All vehicles are air-conditioned. In July and August when outside temperatures reach 35–38°C, the cabin is cooled before collection. Bring a light blanket for very young infants as the air conditioning is strong.

Wheelchair and accessible vehicles: Accessible minivans are available on request at booking. State the requirement clearly — include the chair dimensions if non-standard. No surcharge for accessibility.

Standard luggage allowances per vehicle:

Oversized items: Golf bags, pushchairs/strollers, bicycle boxes, surfboards, and sports equipment are accepted. State oversized items at booking — if a roof carrier or larger vehicle is required, this is arranged at no extra charge for one oversized item.

Wheelchairs: Folding wheelchairs fit in any standard sedan boot. Motorised wheelchairs or power chairs require an accessible vehicle — book in advance.

Lara Beach is a short transfer, so loading and unloading large luggage at the hotel is simpler than on longer routes. The driver assists with all bags at both the airport and the hotel entrance.

Most drivers speak functional English — enough to confirm the destination, hotel name, and answer standard questions. Russian-speaking drivers are available on request (important for Lara Beach given the strong Russian-speaking guest base at Rixos and Mardan Palace properties). German-speaking drivers are bookable with 24 hours notice.

If there is any communication difficulty, use Google Translate on your phone — type or speak your message and show the screen. Turkish drivers are accustomed to this.

WhatsApp fallback: If you cannot locate your driver in arrivals, send a WhatsApp message to the number in your booking confirmation. Replies come prompt. This is the fastest resolution — faster than asking airport staff.
