Terminal 1 (T1) — Domestic flights (Turkish Airlines, Pegasus, SunExpress domestic). Also used for some international charter flights in off-peak season. Smaller and less busy.

Terminal 2 (T2) — Main international terminal. Handles all European scheduled airlines (Ryanair, easyJet, Lufthansa, British Airways, Wizz Air), Turkish Airlines international, and most Russian/Ukrainian charter flights.

Most holidaymakers arriving from Europe land at Terminal 2. Check your boarding pass — it will show T1 or T2.

The two terminals are connected by a covered walkway (5 minutes walk) and a free shuttle bus that runs every 10–15 minutes.

Your private transfer driver will confirm which terminal they are meeting you at. If you land at T1 but expect T2 (or vice versa), text the driver immediately — they can switch terminals in under 10 minutes via the inter-terminal road.

Most EU, UK, and US citizens require a Turkish e-Visa, obtained online before travel at evisa.gov.tr. Cost: $50–60 USD depending on nationality. Do not buy at the airport — the on-arrival visa desk is slower and more expensive.

Queue times at passport control:

Have your e-Visa confirmation on your phone or printed. Passport control officers scan the QR code.

EU citizens with biometric passports can use e-Gates at T2 — much faster than staffed booths. In peak season, the e-Gate queue is typically under 5 minutes even when staffed booth queues reach 45 minutes.

Private transfer drivers track your flight's actual landing time and adjust accordingly — your driver is not watching the clock from your scheduled arrival. A 2-hour delay does not mean your driver leaves.

After passport control, follow signs to Baggage Reclaim. Belt numbers are displayed on screens — match your flight number.

Typical belt wait: 15–25 minutes after clearing passport control.

If your luggage hasn't arrived after 45 minutes, go to the airline's baggage desk (located in the baggage hall) before exiting customs. File a Property Irregularity Report (PIR) — this is a written record the airline requires before they will deliver delayed luggage to your hotel.

Trolleys are free and available throughout the baggage hall. Connect to free Wi-Fi (SSID: AYT-Free-Wifi) while waiting — message your driver to confirm you are through passport control.

Oversized luggage (surfboards, prams, golf bags, mobility aids) arrives on a separate belt or via the oversized baggage room adjacent to the main baggage hall — follow signs marked "Büyük Bagaj" (large luggage).

After collecting luggage, pass through customs. Antalya uses a red/green channel system:

Duty-free limits for Turkey: 200 cigarettes, 1 litre spirits, €300 in goods.

After customs, you exit through automatic sliding doors into the Arrivals Hall — the meet & greet zone where transfer drivers wait. Do not exit to the outside forecourt — drivers are inside, not outside.

Here is the full sequence from the moment the aircraft parks to the moment you are in your transfer vehicle. Times are for Terminal 2 in peak summer — off-peak is faster at every step.

Step 1 — Disembark and walk to passport control (5–10 min). Follow the jetway or bus into the terminal. Passport control is clearly signed. Connect to AYT-Free-Wifi in the corridor and check WhatsApp — your driver's name and mobile number arrive 2 hours before landing.

Step 2 — Passport control queue (10–60 min depending on season). July–August 08:00–12:00 is the worst window — budget 45–60 minutes. Night arrivals (midnight–06:00) take 5–10 minutes. If you have an EU biometric passport, use the e-Gates on the right side of the hall — queue is typically 5 minutes even at peak times.

Step 3 — Walk to baggage belt (3–5 min). Belt assignment is on the screen as you descend the escalator. Trolleys are free — take one immediately.

Step 4 — Wait for luggage (15–25 min typical). If your bag hasn't appeared after 45 minutes, go to your airline's baggage desk before exiting customs. WhatsApp your driver to warn them of a potential delay.

Step 5 — Pass through customs (1–3 min). Green channel for holidaymakers. Walk straight through.

Step 6 — Exit through automatic sliding doors into arrivals hall. You are now in the public zone.

Step 7 — Turn left immediately after the doors. Do not walk towards the exit to outside. Private transfer drivers stand in a row along the left wall, 15–20 metres from the customs exit. Each driver holds a printed A4 sign with your surname in large capitals. The row is visible from 20 metres.

Step 8 — Identify your driver, show booking confirmation. The driver takes your luggage and leads you to the vehicle in the car park, a 2–3 minute walk from the meeting zone.

Total time from landing to vehicle: 40–90 minutes in peak summer. 25–45 minutes off-peak. Night arrivals: 20–35 minutes.

SIM cards: Turkcell, Vodafone, and Türk Telekom desks are in the arrivals hall and beyond security. A tourist SIM with 15 GB data costs ₺500–800 (~€15–25). Passport required for registration. The Turkcell desk in T2 Arrivals is the largest and usually has the shortest queue.

Currency exchange: Booths are available in baggage claim and arrivals hall. Rates are poor — typically 10–15% worse than city centre exchange offices (döviz bürosu). Exchange only enough for the first day at the airport.

Recommendation: Use a Wise/Revolut card or local ATMs for better rates. Withdraw TRY after clearing customs.

ATMs: Located in baggage hall and arrivals. Use your bank's network card — standalone ATMs charge dynamic currency conversion fees of 3–8%.

Transfer payment: made securely online by card (Visa, Mastercard) at booking and charged in EUR. The payment is collected by the merchant of record, Dmitry Kulish, Individual Entrepreneur registered in Georgia. No payment to the driver is required.

Private transfer drivers wait in the meet & greet zone — Terminal 2 Arrivals, ground floor, turn left after the automatic sliding doors post-customs, in the transfer company meeting area. Each driver holds a printed A4 sign with the passenger's surname.

Important: Drivers who approach you proactively are unaffiliated touts — ignore them. Your legitimate driver waits with a name sign and does not approach you first.

Driver contact: Your driver's name and mobile number are sent to you 2 hours before your flight lands. If you cannot see your driver, connect to free Wi-Fi (SSID: AYT-Free-Wifi) and send a WhatsApp message to the number on your confirmation. Response is prompt.

Driver wait policy: Drivers wait 60 minutes from the actual landing time at no extra charge. Flight tracking is automatic — delays are accounted for. A driver will not leave because your flight was 3 hours late.

Child seats: infant (0–13 kg), toddler (9–18 kg), and booster (15–36 kg) seats are available free of charge — request at booking. This must be requested in advance; the driver cannot source a seat at short notice.

Payment: made securely online by card (Visa, Mastercard) at booking and charged in EUR. No payment to the driver is required.

All prices are fixed, per vehicle (not per person), and include terminal waiting, luggage assistance, and the driver meeting you inside the arrivals hall.

Night price applies to pickups between 22:00 and 06:00. The surcharge is calculated at booking and shown on your confirmation.

Night pickups (22:00–06:00) carry a +30% surcharge. Example: Lara Beach sedan daytime price is €55 × 1.30 = €72 night rate. The surcharge is shown at booking — it is not added at the vehicle.

Night arrivals are, paradoxically, the most comfortable time to land at Antalya. Passport control takes 5–10 minutes instead of 45–60. The arrivals hall is quiet. The road to any resort is free of traffic — a journey that takes 35 minutes in July daytime takes under 20 minutes at midnight.

Driver availability: for bookings between 00:00 and 05:00, the driver pool is smaller than daytime. Book at least 24 hours in advance for late-night or early-morning pickups. The system assigns a named driver at time of booking and confirms via WhatsApp.

Flight tracking works identically at night — if your overnight charter is 2 hours late, the driver adjusts automatically.

Official taxis queue outside the arrivals exit. They use meters. However, the meter start rate at Antalya Airport is set high and the rate per kilometre is higher than city taxis. The bigger risk is from unlicensed touts who approach passengers inside the arrivals hall and quote inflated flat rates.

Typical metered taxi prices from AYT:

A metered taxi from the official rank (outside T2 exit, turn right — yellow taxis with a lighted sign) is a legitimate cheaper option for a solo traveller with one bag in daylight. The official rank is staffed and supervised. For families, groups with large luggage, or night arrivals, a pre-booked fixed-price transfer eliminates all uncertainty.

Antalya Airport Terminal 2 has baby-change facilities in the post-customs arrivals hall, on both sides of the exit corridor. T1 also has a baby-change room on the ground floor past the exit barriers. Both are clean and equipped with a fold-down table, sink, and bin.

Families with prams or pushchairs can use the lifts in both terminals — escalators are present but lifts are adjacent and clearly signed. Allow an extra 5 minutes in the T2 passport control queue to use the family/pushchair lane, which is typically shorter than the general queue.

If you are travelling with an infant and land on an overnight charter, the arrivals hall at 02:00 is significantly quieter than at 10:00. There is nowhere to buy baby formula in the post-customs arrivals hall — bring what you need in carry-on luggage or buy before clearing customs in the airside shops.

Child seats for transfer vehicles are free on request. Request the specific type at booking: infant (0–13 kg), toddler (9–18 kg), or booster (15–36 kg). The driver arrives with the seat pre-fitted. If you need two seats for multiple children, specify both at booking.

Journey times to the main resorts: Lara Beach 15 minutes, Belek 35–45 minutes, Side 60–70 minutes, Alanya 100–115 minutes. Lara and Belek are easily manageable with young children even at late-night hours. Alanya is a long drive — bring snacks and a fully charged tablet for children under 8.

Standard luggage allowances per vehicle:

Oversized items: Golf clubs, skis, surfboards, and prams are carried in minivans or minibuses — book accordingly. A golf bag for one golfer fits in a sedan if there is only one passenger, but two golfers with bags require a minivan.

Wheelchairs and mobility aids: Foldable wheelchairs travel in sedans. Electric mobility scooters and large power wheelchairs require a minivan or minibus — request an accessible vehicle at booking and specify the dimensions. Accessible vehicles are available but must be requested in advance.

Delayed or lost luggage: If the airline cannot locate your bags, file a Property Irregularity Report at the baggage desk before exiting customs. Then proceed to your driver as normal — your transfer vehicle will not have space for phantom bags. Once settled at your hotel, the airline delivers delayed luggage directly to the hotel at no charge.

Most AntalyaTransfers.co drivers speak sufficient English for a transfer — destination confirmation, basic directions, and any practical questions about the journey. For longer conversations, the Google Translate app on your phone works well.

Russian-speaking drivers are available on request — specify at booking. This is particularly relevant for passengers arriving on Russian charter flights, which are a significant proportion of T2 arrivals. Almost all drivers from the Russian charter market speak basic Russian at minimum.

For German, Dutch, and Polish travellers: a small number of drivers speak conversational German or Dutch. If you prefer a German-speaking driver, note it in the booking comments — we will assign one if available.

WhatsApp is the primary communication channel between passengers and drivers. Your booking confirmation includes the driver's WhatsApp number. If a message is not delivered (no internet at the airport), call the same number — it is a mobile number that receives voice calls.

The free airport Wi-Fi (SSID: AYT-Free-Wifi, no password) is available throughout T2 from the moment you enter the arrivals corridor after the jetway. Connect before reaching passport control so you can message the driver while queuing.

Flight delayed over 2 hours: No action needed. Drivers track your flight in real time. A delay of any length is handled automatically — the driver adjusts departure from their standby location. You do not need to call or message unless you want to.

Driver not visible at the meeting zone: Do not wait more than 3 minutes — connect to AYT-Free-Wifi and WhatsApp the number from your confirmation. Response is prompt. If no WhatsApp response within 3 minutes, call the same number — drivers always have their phones active at the airport.

Wrong terminal: If your aircraft diverted to T1 and you booked for T2 (or vice versa), WhatsApp the driver immediately. The inter-terminal road takes under 10 minutes — the driver can reach the correct terminal before you exit customs if you message early.

Lost luggage: File the Property Irregularity Report (PIR) at the baggage desk before customs. Then proceed to your driver as normal. Provide the hotel address to the airline desk — delayed bags are delivered directly to the hotel. Your driver will take you to the hotel without the missing bags.

Driver cancellation (extremely rare): If a driver is unavailable due to a vehicle breakdown, the booking system reassigns a new driver and sends updated contact details via WhatsApp. If you receive no WhatsApp update within 10 minutes of landing, call the main booking line on your confirmation.

Booked wrong date: Call or WhatsApp the booking number on your confirmation as soon as you realise. Changes made more than 2 hours before the original pickup time are usually free.
